Advertorial
MAN v FAT’s helped thousands of blokes achieve their weightloss goals with its unique football-based health and exercise programme.
But it’s kicked footie into touch for the team’s latest addition, the MAN v FAT Challenge.
“It was born out of the pandemic. We had guys playing football but, when restrictions came in, we had to adapt,” says Ben Middleton, programme manager. “We put all the challenges online and it became such a success, we realised we had something.”
So if you’re interested in losing weight and getting fitter and healthier – in body AND mind – here’s everything you need to know…
What is MAN v FAT Challenge?
MAN v FAT Challenge is a male-only digital weightloss programme designed and targeted at men who want to improve their fitness, mental and social wellbeing from the comfort of their own home. It’s perfect for guys who maybe can’t commit to a date or time, or as a first step for those who might initially be a bit daunted by the gym.
How does it work?
Anyone signing up is put into a small team for a 14-week season and given a dedicated weightloss coach who they can chat to at any time, and they can share their best practices with their team. Each Monday new challenges get released with seven days to complete them and upload the ‘evidence’ onto an online dashboard.
What are the challenges?
There’s always one challenge based around nutrition and healthy cooking, for example, ‘take your favourite takeaway and cook it from scratch and make it healthy’; a second is based around exercise and increased activity so it might be to take an exercise class on MAN v FAT Challenge’s online gym, go on a walk with the family or increase your steps, and the third will focus on building healthy habits and mental wellbeing through the ‘Foundations’ platform.
Can I only stay for one season?
No you can stay for as long as you want, and there are new challenges and maintenance programmes.
What does it cost?
£23 a month on subscription and you can cancel at any time.
Who can join?
Anyone with a BMI of more than 25 so is overweight or obese.
What can I hope to achieve?
90% of people lose weight and/or inches, many reduce blood pressure and are able to reduce medication.
