Lacquer at the ready, there is a brand new venue opening in Liverpool that is guaranteed to take you straight back to the 80’s and 90’s.
As Liverpool based Pub Invest Group continue with their diverse mix of venues across all areas of the City Centre the latest offering is an old school 80’s and 90’s bar and club.
On the corner of Mathew Street, under Legends Sports Bar, Rewind is a very intimate space with a capacity of around 150. Stepping into this basement setting with is vaulted ceilings and exposed brick walls are like stepping back into a scene from Top of the Pops.
With a ceiling covered in Smash Hits magazine covers with names such as Bros, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson and Frankie Goes to Hollywood and a cocktail list which includes the Beetle Juice, Ghostbusters and the Flux Capacitor this hidden gem is a must for all lovers of everything 80’s and 90’s.
Assistant General Manager Vitto Manetti commented “Since opening last month the venue has been a huge success. With a mixed bag of guest ranging from stags and hens to a lot of students in the city who are particularly big 80’s fans.”
Big screen TV’s play classic movies such as E.T, Top Gun and the Goonies while the speaker’s belt out the likes of Dire Straits, Wham and Duran Duran. Smoke machines, neon lights and lasers take you back to the days of big hair and even bigger shoulder pads.
Rewind is open from 6pm until 3.30am on Friday and Saturdays and entrance is free. It is also available for hire the rest of the week.
