Hickory’s Smokehouse West Kirby re-opens after stunning refurb

The popular Hickory’s Smokehouse restaurant and neighbourhood bar in West Kirby that was established 2012 has swung open its doors again this week following an exciting re-fresh.

The team at Hickory’s Smokehouse have been busy behind the scenes, making changes to the interior of the much-loved restaurant to mark over ten years in the town.

The restaurant & bar have had a complete refresh. Guests can expect a warm & welcoming environment, with plenty of new seating, from booths to larger tables for groups and families to enjoy. The new-look bar area boasts additional seating, with better views of the multiple screens, perfect for catching all the Everton & Liverpool games & just in time for the NFL playoffs.

The popular veranda has also been re-imagined with brand new seating, flooring & lots of authentic Southern touches. Still the perfect spot, with the roof open on a balmy summer’s day, but a great spot even when the temperatures are more Thingwall than Texas!

General Manager, Tom Schofield said:

‘We cannot wait to welcome guests back after our re-fresh. We have loved re-imagining our spaces and getting the place ready for more BBQ, sport and good times!” Tom was one of the Hickory’s team who visited Austin, Texas on their last road trip and is passionate about giving the locals an authentic experience. 

“We can’t wait to see what guests think of what we’ve done to the place hopefully we will see lots of familiar faces from the past 12 years and new over the next few weeks. It’s great to be back to doing what we love – looking after our guests and firing up the smokers. The excitement is building and we’re looking busy so if you’re looking to joining us get yourself booked in.”

Known for their unique blend of authentic smokehouse dishes combined with an inventive drinks & cocktail offering, the Hickory’s team really do look to welcome everyone and are famous for their inclusive, community focussed, family friendly vibe.

The menu is packed full of the flavours of the Deep South, with classic smokehouse dishes such as Memphis ribs, Texas-style brisket and BBQ pulled pork all smoked low ‘n’ slow in “Ole Hickory” and “Southern Pride” smokers. And let’s not forget burgers, subs, steaks and fajitas, alongside a tasty range of vegetarian options. 

They’ve got you covered with quirky desserts, milkshakes, sodas, cocktails & a collection of over 25 bourbons to try, easy-drinking session ales and a selection of bottles & craft beers. Guests are equally welcome for drinks in the bar as they are for dining. 

With generous portion sizes, smokehouse favourites and more BBQ classics than you can handle, our advice is, arrive hungry and get ready to fall in love with the authentic tastes of the Southern States. 

Hickory’s will be open from midday Monday – Friday and from 10am every Saturday & Sunday. You can catch brunch until 2pm every day and they’re be open until late every night of the week.
