One of the festival organisers this year is real ale connoisseur Gary Wright who is Head Brewer of George Wright Brewery and owner of real ale favourite The Talbot which has further enhanced the area’s reputation of great real ale venues in the Borough. “The St Helens Beer Festival will see 30 real ales featuring a stunning range of local, regional and national award winning breweries. We will have real ale favourites plus some surprise beers and rare selections we have been able to bring especially for the festival. This year we will also feature 10 ciders and a selection of world beers providing visitors with a real great choice of drinks so there will be something for everyone. Last year’s event was excellent and raised a lot of money for the Steve Prescott Foundation ā so it is very exciting to be involved in the St Helens Beer Festival again this year and it promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
Gary Maddock, St Helens Council’s Town Centre Manager added “The St Helens Beer Festival is a fantastic event which provides us with a great profile, increased footfall and spend within the town centre. The Town Hall is a perfect venue for this event and we will be working closely with the event
