Kym Marsh to star as Cruella De Vil in 101 Dalmatians The Musical at Liverpool Empire

Prepare to be transported into the whimsical world of Dodie Smith’s beloved classic as the lead casting and creatives for the new musical version of 101 Dalmatians have been unveiled.

Headlining 101 Dalmatians The Musical is none other than the multi-talented Kym Marsh, who will bring the iconic villain Cruella de Vil to life on stage.

Kym Marsh said:

“I’m over the moon to be joining the cast of 101 Dalmatians playing the iconic Cruella De Vil.

“Has there ever been a more fabulous baddie?! Obviously she’s a million miles away from me in real life – and my dogs are very glad about that – but being able to bring to life my take on this renowned character is a real treat.

“This is a brilliant new musical filled with songs I’m already finding myself humming under my breath. The 101 Dalmatians story spans generations and I’m sure young and old alike will absolutely love this production.”

Renowned for her versatility and captivating performances, Kym is set to captivate audiences with her portrayal of the devious Cruella.

With a career spanning music, television, and theatre, Kym is no stranger to the spotlight. From her early days as a member of the chart-topping band Hear’say to her acclaimed stint on the cobbles of Coronation Street, she has continually proven her talent and versatility as an artist.

Joining Kym in bringing this classic canine story to life are the talented creatives behind the scenes. Written by Douglas Hodge, with music and lyrics by Johnny McKnight, and a stage adaptation by Zinnie Harris, this production promises to delight audiences of all ages with its spectacular puppetry, show-stopping choreography, hilarious songs, and, of course, irresistible puppies!
