Liverpool’s golden buzzer dance act get ready for Britain’s Got Talent final this weekend
43 minutes ago
Representing Liverpool on one of the UK’s biggest television stages, Liverpool Media Academy (LMA) is a 66-person dance collective comprising students from the local city region and across the country.
Following a stunning Golden Buzzer performance in the semi-finals, Liverpool’s LMA students are gearing up for the live Britain’s Got Talent final this Saturday. Alesha Dixon’s Golden Buzzer during the live semi-finals sent the 66-member group straight through to the grand final of the ITV competition.
Ahead of Saturday night’s live final, in which the lucky winner will take away a £250,000 prize, the dance group is preparing to perform in front of millions of viewers across the UK once again.
Aged between 19 and 24, the group is made up of LMA Liverpool undergraduate and postgraduate dance students. It’s a truly national collective; alongside local talent from the Liverpool City Region, the performers include students who have travelled from Scotland, North Wales, Yorkshire, the Midlands, and the South of England specifically to train at LMA.
Choreographed by global sensation Sadeck Berrabah, the performance showcases his famous “Murmuration” movement style. Its flawless synchronisation and striking visual narrative have rightfully crowned it one of the standout dance acts of this series. Unlike traditional dance performances, the routine places full emphasis on collaboration and collective movement, showcasing the realities of professional commercial and screen performance.
Since their first appearance on the popular show, the dancers have become one of the competition’s most talked-about acts. Their stellar performances gained them widespread attention. Getting through to the final was brilliant not only for the students involved but also for Liverpool’s creative and performing arts scene.
While navigating the intense rehearsal and filming schedule for Britain’s Got Talent, the students have successfully balanced their degree-level training and end-of-year performances at LMA Liverpool.

Richard Wallace, Founder of LMA, explained:
“I know I speak on behalf of the whole of LMA when I say just how incredibly proud I am of this group of performers, and we’re delighted that the UK is seeing just how talented they all are.
“Seeing them get through to the final has been amazing, and the Golden Buzzer moment was something none of us will ever forget.
“The team has worked so hard together over the past few months and what makes this performance so special is that it’s completely built around unity and trust. Every single person matters in the piece and I think audiences really connect with that.
“We’re immensely proud of how they’ve represented both the institution and the city of Liverpool throughout this journey, and we’re excited for the public to see what they deliver in the final.”
Kemal Kuguloglu, Head of Dance at LMA Liverpool, added:
“To see our students reach the Britain’s Got Talent final has been extraordinary. The level of professionalism, discipline and teamwork they’ve shown throughout this process has been exceptional.
“The choreography itself is incredibly demanding, requiring complete trust, timing and precision across all 66 performers. The students have embraced every challenge whilst continuing their studies and training at LMA.”
Britain’s Got Talent final airs live this Saturday night on ITV, and the winner is entirely in the hands of the public vote.
