The Lake House secures event bookings up to 2024 as it celebrates its first month of business

Waterloo’s new leisure development The Lake House has marked its first month in business by successfully securing event bookings up until 2024.

The venue, which is leading the way for Sefton’s hospitality scene, has welcomed thousands of visitors through its doors in the past four weeks since its launch, and hosted events in all four of its impressive conference and events spaces.

Sitting alongside the leisure facilities at Sefton Council’s Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre, The Lake House plays home to café and restaurant The Lake Kitchen, led by head chef Matt Cox, as well as 14 refurbished rooms as part of its accommodation offering.

Event Sales Manager Natalie Nixon said:

“The response that we have received so far has been fantastic and it’s been brilliant to finally showcase what The Lake House has to offer. For a venue that is still very much in its infancy, we’re really pleased to see the demand that we anticipated and for our diary to be filling up with events, with a surge in wedding enquiries, as well as people utilising our accommodation offering now that our bedrooms are open.”

The multi-million-pound hospitality hub offers the very best of local produce, freshly prepared food and drinks as well as offering a place to stay and play for everyone. Led by Sefton Hospitality Operations Ltd (SHOL) and its team of expert hospitality specialists, The Lake House has created more than 70 jobs within the local community is one of a collective of properties that are being considered for redevelopment as part of a long-term strategy for reinvestment throughout Sefton.

SHOL was created 12 months ago to provide exceptional customer experiences and great facilities as well as meet the needs of local people, visitors and businesses.

Chair of The Board of Directors Kellie Rixon MBE FIH, who is also the Chair of The Institute of Hospitality, said:

“Having opened only last month, we are already heading in the right direction and that is largely down to the fantastic team that we have there, who are responsible for making this a success. They are truly the best in their fields and the proof of that can be seen already in this first phase.

“The support we have received from the local community, tourists and those attending events here has been second to none. Collectively, we always knew the potential that the venue had, as long as the team were dedicated and onboard with our visions, but we’re delighted to see that our enthusiasm is now mirrored by the general public.”

The Lake House will hold its very own wedding fayre next month as part of a series of events that it plans to host throughout the coming months.

On October 1 and 2, brides and grooms to be will be given a taste of what is on offer, while meeting The Lake House team and an array of independent suppliers, as well as a chance to view the accompanying accommodation offering.

Kellie added: “This really is just the start for us and I’m excited to see what happens next.”
