The Sefton Park Palm House Christmas programme is full of festive fun
5 years ago
One of our most stunning buildings is getting set to light up for Christmas
Sefton Park Palm House has revealed its Christmas programme, which includes a magical tropical grotto, adult-friendly craft workshops and screenings of festive favourites including Elf, The Grinch and The Polar Express.
Plus you can experience the first EVER ‘Christmas Beneath The Palms’ event featuring some of Liverpool’s leading lights in the entertainment field.
Christmas officially arrives at the iconic Grade II* listed glass house on December 1 with festive music at the Palm House. This is followed by a special visit from Mother Christmas on December 7, and Father Christmas on the following day (Sunday, December 8), with these special meet and greet sessions priced at just ÂŁ5.50 per child!
Arguably the highlight of the festive programme, the Palm House will also be holding three special Christmas Beneath The Palms events, as Emmerdale star Eithne Brown personally handpicks some of Liverpool’s favourite actors and musicians to present a series of matinee and evening shows.
The Palm House will also be hosting a number of childrens parties, giving your little elves the chance to dance and play games to their heart’s content, in a warm and friendly environment, all underneath one of the city’s most historic venues.
Recognising the venue’s proud history and continued commitment to lifelong learning and community engagement, Sefton Park Palm House’s festive programme also includes a number of arts and culture days suitable for all ages, including Christmas decoration making and music at the Palm House.
Roy Boardman, director of Sefton Park Palm House Preservation Trust, said;
“With a mixture of paid-for and free events, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the Palm House this festive period, with our hotly anticipated film screenings and the unique tropical grotto just two highlights of our 2019 Christmas programme.
“Christmas is a time for family, friends and the community to come together, and the Palm House is the perfect venue to make that happen, with the proceeds of our ticketed events going directly back into our many community outreach programmes for 2020 and beyond.”
