Did you get messy at Sefton Park raising funds for Claire House Children’s Hospice today? We did!
We’ve been looking forward to this brilliant, family-friendly fun run at Sefton Park for weeks, and earlier today (Saturday 23rd September) hundreds of fundraisers laced up, put on a white t-shirt and made for the start line of the annual Claire House Splash Dash.
No ordinary run, this 5k course is littered with paint stations as runners are covered in different colours are they run, jog, walk, skip, and boogie around the park, all in the name of charity. Watch above as our cameras capture all the action from the hilarious Zumba warm-up right through to the rainbow medals on the finish line.
Claire House Children’s Hospice helps seriously and terminally ill children live life to the full by creating wonderful experiences and bringing back a sense of normality to family life. Currently only 1 in 2 children in the region needing this type of care are able to access it and so the brand new Claire House Liverpool facility which plans to enable the charity to reach more children and their families.
The new site, a former monastery in West Derby, is already rolling out phase one of it’s service plan which includes family support, complimentary therapies, parents and tots groups and some day care services for the children.Watch above as Jay meets with up with Dan Halliday, Corporate Fundraiser for Claire House and takes a look around the new site.
