WATCH: We take you back to Liverpool’s incredible Halloween lantern parade

Did you see the city light up with skeletons and ghouls last night?

The much anticipated Lantern Company Bare Bones Tour lit up the streets of Liverpool last night and thousands lined the route from the Bombed Out Church to the Albert Dock.

The Halloween Lantern Parade was possible thanks to a partnership between Lantern Company, Albert Dock Liverpool, Culture Liverpool, and Liverpool BID Company. Featuring thousands of lights, lanterns and a spooky soundtrack, performers dressed as skeletons, birds and mythical creatures danced their way through the crowds in the darkness, delighting Halloween fans of all ages.

Watch above as our cameras capture all the action on the night the monsters roamed the streets of Liverpool.

Halloween Lantern Carnival

Starting from the Pilgrim Street/Hardman St junction just after 6pm, the Halloween Lantern spectacle made its way, flapping, hopping and rattling past the packed out Bombed Out Church of St Luke’s, through the city streets down towards the river, with families lining the best vantage points on Hardman Street, Bold Street, Church Street, Paradise Street, Thomas Steer Way, and Albert Dock, where the carnival came to a spectacular end and disappeared as quickly as it arrived.
