Bonfire Night
The most spectacular way to celebrate Bonfire Night is by going along to an organised event and there are loads happening around the region including these above at Allerton Manor Golf Club . It’s safe and you’ll get to see some amazing firework displays with the bonus of being part of a crowd to enjoy the atmosphere. Comic Con Liverpool is this weekend
It’s a big weekend for TV and film fans, especially if you’re into Harry Potter, because its major stars are heading to Liverpool for Comic Con. Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy) will be at the Exhibition Centre along with Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), Warwick Davis (Filius Flitwick) and Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley) plus lots more famous names including Liv Tyler and Sebastian Stan. Favourite Days Festival celebrates grassroots music
From Wednesday to Sunday, it’s all about showcasing and supporting our local music scene with the Favourite Days Festival putting on 15 gigs across venues including Camp and Furnace, Arts Club, District, EBGBs, Invisible Wind Factory, both Jacarandas, Kazimier Stockroom, Leaf, Lobby, and Rough Trade. Liverpool ONE’s Christmas on the Park opens with the lights switch-on, Bar Hutte and more
The festive season officially arrives at Liverpool ONE this Friday when Christmas on the Park launches. There’ll be rides including a carousel, festive games, food and drinks, plus Bar Hutte is back too for cosy drinks and karaoke and it’s the lights switch-on with a giant bauble archway brand new for this year.
Pete Wylie and the Mighty Wah play Shakespeare North
Liverpool music legend Pete Wylie and the Mighty Wah are taking centre stage at the fabulous Cockpit Theatre at Shakespeare North on Friday as part of the Knowsley Music Festival. It promises to be a gig to remember with hits and gems and, of course, the man himself who’s never short of a tale or two.
Aintree Racecourse hosts BoyleSports Afternoon Raceday on Saturday
For lovers of horseracing, autumn’s all about jump racing and there’s nowhere better to watch it than at Aintree. This Saturday, it’s hosting the BoyleSports Afternoon Raceday which features seven races including the Grand Sefton Chase at 2.40pm, run over the iconic Grand National fences. Book tickets here.
Immerse yourself into the life of the Fab Four at The Beatles Story
The Beatles Story at the Albert Dock has just been named Best UK Museum at the Remarkable Venue Awards 2024, so if you’ve never been now’s a perfect time to go. Various Legends Q&As at Anfield with Stadium Tours
This is shaping up to be a memorable season for the current Reds team and you can relive past glories with Legends Q&As alongside Stadium Tours at Anfield. Comic Con after parties at Camp and Furnace
If you’re heading to Comic Con at the weekend, don’t be all dressed up with no place to go once the event finishes because Camp and Furnace is having an after party. It’s on Saturday from 7pm til late with a Cosplay Catwalk, Funk & Soul session with DJ Craig Charles and a 45-minute set with Lucas Grabeel. Find out more here.

We’re 100% into roast season and if you’re looking for one of Liverpool’s best, head to The Watering Can in Greenbank Park because it gets rave reviews every time it returns. Get Autumnal at Croxteth Country Park
We’re lucky to have so many gorgeous parks and autumn’s one of the best times to go when the colours are amazing. At Croxteth Country Park you can explore trails, wander around the Victorian walled garden, see the animals at Home Farm and this is the final weekend for the miniature railway too.
Visit The Denbigh Castle for the perfect pub experience
It’s hard to put your finger on what makes the perfect pub, but whatever it is The Denbigh Castle has absolutely nailed it.
