Wirral’s first ever Nepalese restaurant, Mt Everest, is celebrating its 1st birthday

Wirral’s first ever Nepalese restaurant, Mt Everest, is celebrating its 1st birthday and the team are offering diners 15% off Sun-Thurs from 15th May until the end of May as a thank you for their support!

Since opening in 2023, the Liscard restaurant has been a big hit — with locals raving about the mouthwatering Nepalese cuisine.

Located on Wallasey Road and open 7 days a week, Mt Everest has brought something completely new to the Wirral dining scene. The intimate little gem serves up intriguing Nepalese dishes such as MoMos (dumplings) and Gurkhali Chicken, alongside Indian classics and chef’s specials — with plenty of vegan and GF options and great value and service.

The first 12 months has seen many 5 star reviews across all platforms and the restaurant has been consistently fully booked at weekends. Meanwhile, takeaways and deliveries have been booming — rated 4.9 on JustEat and many customers praising the large portions and fantastic value for money.

After such a successful first year, Mt Everest are rewarding customers with 15% off Sun-Thurs from 15th May until the end of May. If you’ve already been it’s a thank you from the team for your support but if you’ve not yet sampled their incredible cuisine it’s the perfect opportunity to do so! Meanwhile, there’s a 10% discount on orders over £25 for both collection and delivery.

Owner Deepak Khadka said:

“I opened the restaurant last year to bring something different to the Wirral dining scene. It is a great honour for me to bring my native Nepal to Wirral and the feedback from customers has been amazing these past 12 months. It feels really special to be giving locals an authentic taste of our culture and cuisine — thank you to everyone who has dined with us.”

The restaurant aims to transport people to Nepal, not only with their cuisine but through their decor, prayer flags and traditional music — creating a special dining experience for customers. With colourful, flavoursome dishes that are a refreshing alternative, Mt Everest has been a welcome addition to the Wirral dining scene.

One diner recently said:

“Absolutely fantastic food, the meat just melted I my mouth and everyone in our little group was raving about the food, it was so delicious. The service was impeccable and so unobtrusive, such beautiful ladies that served us quietly with wonderful smiles. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and me and our friends will most definitely be back soon!”

Another said:

“Six adults all had different main dishes and a variety of starters. Not one complaint. Especially liked the naans and the large range of specialty dishes. Everything tasted fresh and served piping hot. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Mount Everest beer was lovely. We were served promptly even though the restaurant was a busy Friday night. We will definitely be returning.”
