Young football teams invited for Goodison lap of honour at Everton Women finale

Young footballers from across the Liverpool City Region are being invited to step onto the famous pitch at Goodison Park for a special end-of-season celebration as Everton Women wrap up their historic first season at the stadium.

Ahead of the Blues’ final game of the campaign against Leicester City Women on Saturday 16 May (1pm KO), junior grassroots football teams are being offered the chance to take part in a special lap of honour at the Grand Old Lady.

Boys’ and girls’ teams aged Under-16 and below can apply to be part of the matchday experience, with young players encouraged to wear their own club kits and celebrate their season in front of the Goodison crowd. All junior players taking part can attend the match for free, while accompanying adults can grab tickets from £12.

Families heading to Goodison can also expect plenty going on around the ground, including face painting and hair braiding for young Blues fans.

General admission tickets for the season finale are also available, with adult tickets priced at £12 and juniors £6, while supporters can also take advantage of a ticket and drink offer from £14.

Executive boxes are also available with a bottomless brunch package, including food, drinks and a visit from a current Everton Women player.

It promises to be a special afternoon at Goodison as Everton Women bring the curtain down on a landmark season and local grassroots teams are being invited to be part of it.
