There’s still time to grab your tickets for WrestleAtomic this Thursday
48 minutes ago
Liverpool’s biggest Wrestling promotion WrestleAtomic is holding its marquee summer event, Max Power, this Thursday at Content. With tickets starting at £16, this one promises to be all out action.
Speaking to showrunner Chris Welsh, we got the run down as to why, whether you’re a wrestling fan or not, you should get your tickets for Max Power:
“We want to bring people in who either might have watched it when they were a kid, they might still check out the Royal Rumble once a year, or they might be completely new to it and fancy a night out. That’s why we try to keep it as affordable as we can. The whole thing about WrestleAtomic is we just try and make it fun, we try and make it a huge spectacle and the night is full of action. If you don’t like one match because it might be a bit too serious, the next match might be pure comedy.
“Give us a go, I reckon I can make a wrestling fan out of people who aren’t.”

One thing we do know about Thursday’s tag team ladder match main event, it will be absolute chaos! Hometown heroes Quintessential take on their former friends Act Two with the tag titles suspended high above the ring. The only way to win, grab a ladder and get them down. The last time these two teams faced off it ended in an all out brawl with no clear-cut winner. Will we finally see an end to this feud at Max Power?
WrestleAtomic champion Teddy Ray will take his faction North West Strong to the ring in a face off with big bads, Trail of Dead. Starting off as a singles match, its winner stays on rules until one man is standing. This is no dead rubber for the champ, if Trail of Dead can come away with a win, the member who scores the final pin gets a shot at Teddy Ray’s belt at the next show. This one will be a quick moving, gauntlet style series of matches that move at breakneck speed.
Also on Thursday’s card, fan favourite Lily Winter takes on the returning Natalie Sykes and up and coming superstar Saxa in a Triple Threat match. Lana Austin and Holly Barlow compete in a mixed gender tag team match against Manchester duo Banter Bus, who are making their first appearance as a team. First ever Atomic Champion Tony Wright returns to the ring, albeit with a slightly different attitude to before. Troy Ryan takes on Critchy with commentary from a special anonymous guest, and Joe Kessler settles the score with Joe Blazer and Ian Skinner in a 2 on 1 Handicap Match.
With special appearances, ladders, grudge matches and returning stars, WrestleAtomic: Max Power promises to be a great night out with unmissable action. Doors at Content are at 5pm and the first bell is at 7pm. All of the action from the last show will be screened inside the venue before the event, so you’ll be all caught up by the time the first two wrestlers enter the ring.
