13 secondary schools across the Liverpool City Region have taken part in Stop The Bleed Day today, with around 2,200 pupils learning how to recognise and respond to a life‑threatening bleed! ⛑️

The initiative is part of a wider national effort to empower young people with the confidence and knowledge to act quickly in an emergency.

Stop the Bleed Day focuses on simple, practical techniques that can make the difference between life and death following serious injury, accidents or violence.

Injury remains the leading cause of death among children and young adults under 40, and uncontrolled bleeding is the single most preventable cause of death following trauma.

We caught up with Nikhil Misra, Director of the KnifeSavers Campaign, and some of the kids taking part to hear more!

It’s 40 years since National Museums Liverpool was launched, and to celebrate it’s created an amazing exhibition with display items from each of its seven venues.

Founded in 1986, the formation of National Museums Liverpool marked a historic moment in the city’s history, bringing together its portfolio of internationally applauded Merseyside museums and galleries: Lady Lever Art Gallery, International Slavery Museum, Maritime Museum, Museum of Liverpool, Sudley House, Walker Art Gallery and World Museum.

Now, for the first time ever, it’s brought together incredible pieces from each of the venues under one roof in the must-see National Museums Liverpool at 40 Exhibition which is on at World Museum.

This time next week the circus will have arrived in Southport as The Big Top Festival launches 🥳🎪

Enjoy some of the best circus performers in the world on 2-3 May.
