Escape Live launches in Liverpool this month with two official Peaky Blinders escape rooms and more

Advertorial

Liverpool is set to launch a brand-new escape room venue, and it’s one you won’t want to miss – by order of the Peaky Blinders.

Escape Live, opening in Liverpool ONE in August, is the only one of its kind in the UK which has official rooms with Thomas Shelby and co setting the daunting challenges.

But that’s not the only thing which will set it apart from others when it arrives in the city next month.

The Liverpool location will be the sixth for the growing company – and it’s set to offer its best experience yet.

“Liverpool will become our new flagship and we are hugely excited about it,” says Jas Sodhi, managing director of Escape Live. “We have found a fantastic location in the heart of the leisure and hospitality area of Liverpool ONE; a space built 10 years ago but which has never been used, and which has an amazing roof top terrace.

“We chose Liverpool because it’s such a great city, with lots of energy. The vibes we get when we’re there are fantastic and there’s so much going on which we love.”

Thanks to Escape Live there’ll be even more going on to love when this superb attraction opens its doors and invites you to crack the clues and codes to make your escape or solve the mystery:

There are two Peaky Blinders rooms, including ‘Double Cross’ in which London crime boss Alfie Solomons has summoned Tommy Shelby to his ‘Bakery’ in the Camden Docks. The Peaky Blinders have sent you ahead to find a way to infiltrate Alfie’s gang and find out what he wants.

There’s Prison Break where you have to escape from HMP Standfast; Dr Watson’s Office set in 1920s London with Sherlock Holmes leading the crime fight, and Jack the Ripper…

“Jack the Ripper is a really scary experience,” admits Jas. “We have got an air compression system so at different stages of the game it feels like you’re being patted on the back or rats are running across your feet.”

And, new to even Escape Live, is a superb Horrible Histories room for children and families – and adult fans of the cult history series. Three artefacts are missing from the Horrible Histories Museum and you must travel to multiple time zones to find them and bring them back to the present.

“That’s going to be amazing, with children being able to play a really active part, and author Terry Deary doing the voice-over,” adds Jas.

Escape Live also boasts a virtual reality escape room arena for which globally-renowned computer games company Ubisoft has created three digital escape rooms in the action-adventure world of Assassin’s Creed.

“There’s a room and a game for every person and every age,” adds Jas. “We have a private room for up to 12 people which is great for corporate events, birthdays or stag and hen parties.

“And, we have licensed a section of the massive terrace so people can come along before the game, have a drink, relax, enjoy the sun – hopefully – and then play.

“We hope it will become a real destination venue.”
