How to give Jurgen Klopp a proper Scouse send-off in Liverpool
7 months ago
Jurgen Klopp calls time on his magnificent managerial reign at Liverpool FC this weekend as The Reds take on Wolves in the season finale at Anfield.
The legendary German’s time in the Anfield hot seat saw the team win pots aplenty and play some of the most exhilarating football in the club’s history. It’s only fitting that his successful spell in charge is celebrated in style.
Here’s how you can give Liverpool’s German genius a proper Scouse send-off.
Olympia – Boss Night farewell – Saturday, May 18th
Spawned from an LFC Fanzine, Boss Night has been the soundtrack to The Red’s support since 2011. And you can be sure their Celebration of Jurgen event at The Olympia will be a joyous occasion.
With live music from Jamie Webster, you’ll be singing Kop classics at the top of your lungs and waving Aufedersein to the man who has given his heart to Liverpool.
All ages are welcome at this feel-good family event.
Liverpool FC events don’t get better than BOSS.
Hotel Anfield – The Redmen TV – Saturday, May 18th
Hotel Anfield’s end-of-season party will toast a successful campaign in which The Reds bagged the Carabao Cup and secured Champions League qualification. But, of course, the main celebrations will be dedicated to Klopp’s terrific tenure as Liverpool manager.
There’ll be live music, LFC-inspired fun and games from the gang at The Redmen TV, and the chance to win signed LFC merchandise.
What a way to celebrate our magnificent football club and say goodbye to our iconic gegenpressing German.
The Sandon – End of season party – Sunday, May 19th
A stone’s throw from Anfield, The Sandon is the birthplace of LFC and the perfect place to feel close to the club for Jurgen’s final game in charge.
Their Farewell to Klopp event includes a two-course meal, a welcome drink, and the chance to watch Liverpool take on Wolves from the comfort of a VIP suite.
Tickets are £25 and guarantee you’ll celebrate the end of the season in style.
Sefton Park Social – Klopp in the Park – Sunday, May 18th
A big screen, beer & cocktail tents, a red lantern send-off, and a Klopp mask party are tempting enough, but the Sefton Park Social team have gone even further.
There’ll also be live acoustic performances of LFC classics, DJs playing Soul, Funk, Motown, Disco, food traders, table service, and more.
Sefton Park Social’s Klopp In The Park event will be a belter.
M&S Bank Arena – An Evening with Jurgen Klopp – Tuesday May 28th
John Bishop and Peter McDowall are hosting An Evening with Jurgen Klopp at the M&S Bank Arena on Tuesday, May 28th.
Celebrating his nine years as LFC boss, Klopp’s final goodbye to supporters will feature performances from Liverpool bands Lightning Seeds and The Zutons and award-winning singer Alfie Boe.
The exclusive event will also include a live Q&A with Jürgen himself. If you get the chance to ask him a question, can you convince him to stay?
Tickets and Hospitality Packages are available here.
Watch the match live at Punch Tarmeys – Sunday, May 19th
With plenty of big screens, two video walls and five bars, Punch Tarmeys is arguably the city’s best place to watch live sports. And Liverpool’s biggest Irish Bar is going all out for Klopp’s Last Dance.
Top Kopite Marc Kenny is performing live before and after the game; there’ll be free face-painting for the kids and the chance to win signed LFC shirts. Plus, guess the first goalscorer, and you could win 241 drinks for the entire pub.
Entry is free, so be quick to book your spot.
Jurgens on the Strand – Sunday, May 19th
From Champions League trophies and memorabilia to its own ‘boot room’, Jürgen’s Bierhaus is dedicated to the love of LFC football.
Head to the Strand-based venue for their Farewell Party, where you can watch The Reds take on Wolves and enjoy live music and entertainment from midday.
What better way to raise a glass to Klopp than at the venue that bears his name?

Book an Anfield Experience
Already feeling nostalgic about Klopp’s time in charge? An Anfield Experience is the perfect way to relive the glory of our legendary manager’s tenure.
This VIP Experience includes the LFC Stadium Tour – with access to exclusive areas – all-day entertainment, live music, appearances from former players, and delicious food from LFC’s award-winning chefs.
But the best part is getting teary-eyed while looking at Jurgen’s trophy haul – the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, two League Cups, Super Cup and World Club Championship. Oh, and a Community shield (it counts).
Anfield pub crawl after the match
There’s always a fantastic atmosphere around Anfield’s pubs on matchday, but this Sunday will be more memorable than most.
Plan a pub crawl and go bar to bar to regale your favourite memories of Jurgen with fellow Reds. “Remember when he ran on the pitch in the derby? Boss, tha'”
There are loads of brilliant boozers to choose from, including The Albert, Arkles, Taggy’s, The Church, The Park, Hotel TIA, The King Harry and The Twelfth Man.
What a line-up.
Admire the Klopp street art
Want to gaze at Jurgen’s winning grin a little longer? We suggest taking in the fabulous street art dedicated to the big man.
There are murals dotted around the city, including the Baltic, Slater Street and Anfield.
