Are you ready for the biggest ever hunt for The Elf on the Shelf® right here in Liverpool? 🧑🏼‍🎄

It’s 1st December so that means The Elf On The Shelf is back, but this time it’s bigger than ever and we’re on the hunt for him in Liverpool City Centre. 🎄

Organised by Liverpool BID Company, the Scout Elf will be moved at night to various locations around the city centre from 1-24 December. People will be invited to seek out the Scout Elf each morning and snap a selfie as it embarks in some classic festive fun. On a Saturday morning, the Scout Elf will settle in a new spot for the weekend, before setting off to be found in a new place on Monday morning. ✨

🌟The first clue is:

R’ Elf on the Shelf is here today, On the first of December, so come say hey! From St John’s Beacon, there’s no time to pause, He’s on a sight-seeing mission, for Santa Claus!

Daily clues will be found on Liverpool BID Company’s social media channels, but, as with tradition, no hints or announcements will be made before the Scout Elf appears.

To enter, simply share your pictures with R’ Elf on social media using #TheElfOnTheShelfLiverpool and tag in @liverpoolbidcompany – and you could be the lucky winner of a fabulous stay in Liverpool filled with fun, food, entertainment, and more. The Beatles Story has launched a Bed-In this weekend to raise money and gather donations for local children’s cancer charity, CHICS.

We were there today to speak to Andre from the charity to hear how you can help support families in our area.

In a tribute to John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s iconic 1969 Bed-Ins for Peace, The Beatles Story at Royal Albert Dock is recreating the famous protest as part of its seasonal charity drive.

The Beatles Story Bed-In launched today, inviting visitors to donate new pyjamas and essentials to support local children and teenagers facing cancer, in partnership with Liverpool-based charity Children’s Cancer Support (CHICS).

There was huge news for Liverpool’s music industry this week as it was announced the city region will receive a £6.75m funding boost to support musicians, venues and music-focused businesses.

Dr. Jen Davies is from the University of Liverpool Management School, who are behind the project, and also a musician herself with @haarmband, told us all about it.

The Liverpool City Region is announced as a new £6.75 million UKRI Creative Cluster for the Music sector. Led by the University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), MusicFutures will, over the next five years, establish the Liverpool City Region as a music research and development (R&D) powerhouse and ecosystem.

The five-year funded programme, delivered by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) on behalf of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), will catalyse growth and innovation in Liverpool City Region’s music sector. By focusing on driving R&D and innovation through emerging technologies as well as talent and business development, MusicFutures will supercharge the Liverpool City Region’s already thriving music sector and future-proof the city’s reputation as a global music city, ensuring its continued cultural and musical relevance on the world stage.
