What’s on Queen Avenue? 

Queen Avenue is situated in between Dale and Castle Street, Liverpool

It’s surprising the amount of people who don’t know that this beautiful hidden gem exists in Liverpool. Tucked away just off Castle Street, in the city’s business district, lies Liverpool’s very own “Diagon Alley”. If you walk beneath the archway between Rudy’s Pizza and the Tune Hotel – you will think you have been transported back in time to the Victorian period. 

The Grade II buildings based along Queen Avenue were previously home to insurance companies and other financial businesses dating back in the day, nowadays however, it is home to a restaurant, bar, art gallery and other businesses – lets take a peek shall we:

Queens are a bistro and wine bar in Liverpool, hidden but within view just off Castle St, in the quiet majesty of Queen Ave.

They pride themselves on offering simple, seasonal produce which is carefully prepared and cooked by their team of talented chefs. The intimate restaurant serves up breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and is one of Liverpool’s great culinary experiences. 

Queens has a unique private dining space – their fully private cellar can cater for up to 20 guests comfortably. We offer a variety of menus that showcase the very best of local and seasonal produce.

dot-art supports visual artists and champions creativity as an integral part of daily life, with a focus on collaboration and sustainability. They do this by selling locally sourced, affordable art through their Liverpool gallery and website, working with businesses to put art in the workplace and public realm, running art classes and working with schools and community groups.

All this is underpinned by their unique membership scheme for artists in the North West which gives access to all the activities above and a package of support and advice, creating and developing artists’ careers. dot-art was recognised for its fantastic impact on the Liverpool City Regions creative community by Arts Council England, who supported the organisation through the COVID-19 pandemic via the Culture Recovery Fund.

Auditory Queen Avenue

Abditory is a hidden gem within a hidden gem! At the end of Queen Avenue as it turns to its Dale Street entrance, under the overhead walkway, you will find this comfortable hideaway. 

Seating 55 people inside and discreetly occupying one floor of a listed property including a well hidden outside terrace. Their house cocktails are assembled with a deep understanding of harmony, how ingredients interact, and endowed with subtle twists – these guys certainly know what they’re doing when it comes to drinks!
