Liverpoolās International Slavery Museum and Maritime Museum are set to close their doors on 5 January 2025 for essential repair and maintenance works, ahead of an incredible redevelopment project.
Visitors have just six weeks left to explore the two Liverpool Museums before they temporarily close, with reopening scheduled for 2028.
The redevelopment of International Slavery Museum and Maritime Museum is part of the wider Waterfront Transformation Project which aims to link storytelling, heritage, community and hospitality to create a richāÆvisitor experience and be a catalyst for social and environmental improvements in the area.

The public will see plenty of officers from neighbourhood policing teams out at busy spots across Merseyside. Officers will be sharing useful crime prevention advice and encouraging members of the public to become a āChristmas Crime Crackerā by taking simple security measures to protect their possessions, such as security marking valuable items ā a proven method to deter thieves and help recover stolen property.

The London Carriageworks has been serving up some of the best food in Liverpool for over twenty years.
Launching in 2003 as part of the Hope Street Hotel, the restaurant fast became one of the cityās favourites. And has since been awarded two AA Rosettes and holds an AA Notable Wine award.
Last week we visited for the first time in ages, and we were not disappointed. We chose from the A La Carte menu and both the service and the food were some of the best weāve experienced in Liverpool. š
