Goodbye for now B.A.P Unión! 👋⚓️
This week, the Pier Head has played host to the incredible Peruvian Navy Sailing Training Ship, B.A.P. Unión.
The vessel arrived on Sunday and welcomed thousands of visitors on board during its celebration of Wirral’s historic links with Peru.
The ship is set to depart in the early hours of tomorrow morning and we wish all on board the very best on the next leg of their journey!

The World Boxing Championships start TOMORROW 🥊
Taking place at the M&S Bank Arena from September 4th to September 14th, this event is a huge deal not only for Liverpool but for the UK as a whole!

The vessel has docked at Liverpool’s Pier Head to celebrate Peru’s historic connections with the Wirral. The ship is open for the public to go onboard from now until it departs in the early hours of Thursday morning.

A brand new exhibition which shines a light on Liverpool`s grassroots boxing clubs and gyms has officially launched at St George`s Hall 🏛️
While the World Boxing Championships take place in Liverpool, a new exhibition named Unsung Heroes has opened its doors.
The exhibition is a collaboration between Culture Liverpool, Open Eye Gallery and England Boxing and features portraits from 19 individuals nominated by local boxing clubs with a new exhibition alongside action shots and a short film, capturing the spirit of 16 local boxing clubs.
Photographers Emma Case and Katie Richardson, alongside filmmaker Susannah Fletcher, have captured their portraits and stories, highlighting the vital voices shaping Liverpool’s boxing community. This exhibition offers a unique insight into the faces and stories of those creating a lasting impact and legacy within local clubs. 🥊
