LOCAL DRAG STAR TO HOST WEEK LONG EUROVISION EVENT 🌟

Local Drag star Filla Crack is bringing EuroLove, a weeklong event for Eurovision, to Love Lane Brewery. 

This series of events is Love Lane & Filla’s (Euro)Love Letter to Eurovision. With screenings of The Eurovision Song Contest, immersive art experiences, drag brunches, lip sync’s and a drag roast - you won’t be short of things to get involved with once The Song Contest descends on the city.

Filla Crack told The Guide: 

“I love it [Eurovision] - it’s camp as anything isn’t it? - In all seriousness, its about the music… and I am over the moon that Liverpool gets to host it. 

“This city has such a history with music and the whole world is going to have its eyes on us once again, it’s an amazing thing to be a part of.” 

EuroLove will take place between 6 - 14 May 2023.

Last night #Liverpool came together once again to keep the memory of James Bulger alive. Louise Redknapp gave the audience a stunning performance to headline the annual James Bulger Memorial Trust Ball which raised thousands in his name.

The Guide’s Claire Simmo hosted the night and she also spoke with James’s mum Denise about why it’s so important for her that we remember him, especially on the 30th anniversary of his tragic death.

Gaucho Liverpool launches its new intimate Beef Bar experience 😋

Up to eight people can take a front row seat at Gaucho’s countertop where a personal chef will serve an Argentine Beef five course tasting Menu, with every cut of high-quality beef personally prepared to taste.

The stage is set in the sophisticated restaurant in the former Bank of Liverpool in Water Street which has been beautifully renovated, with sumptuous interiors complementing the rich woods and elegant marbles of the Grade II listed building’s past to create a wow factor from the moment you step inside.

The Beef Bar experience, which must be booked 48-hours in advance, is available Sunday to Thursday costing just £55; you can also upgrade your experience with specially-paired wines, chosen by the in-house sommelier, for £85 per person.
