The River of Light countdown is officially ON as details about all the installations have been revealed. 🤩✨

The festival will run from Friday 25 October to Tuesday 5 November and full details of all the installations have now been revealed:

✨ Rangoli Mirrored Cosmos - This 3D sculpture stands at nearly two-metres high and is a celebration of Diwali’s Festival of Light.
✨ Illusion Hole - This is an illusion of water flowing into a mysterious black hole.
✨ Positive Spin - A 5.5m high machine.
✨ Lightbattle III – This piece celebrates the joy of cycling as participants can hop-on and pedal as fast as they can in a race to intensify the colours around them.
✨ Firefly Field - This installation simulates the movements of fireflies.
✨ Bunch of Tulips - This is the iconic flower expanded into epic proportions.
✨ Bubblesque - This installation is giant bubbles floating on water and overflowing onto the land.
✨ No Place Like Gnome - This installation invites visitors on a whimsical journey, where each gnome transforms into a charming companion.
✨ Checkmate - This 16m-by-16m square chessboard has been designed to make visitors feel as though they have shrunk amongst the enormous inflatable chess pieces.
✨ Piano Walk - A captivating musical experience will see a huge floor piano.
✨ Impulse - 15 interactive see-saws will transform the Pier Head through light and sound.
✨ LAPS - This is a giant egg timer which will be located near Salthouse Dock.

Each night the artworks will be switched on from 5pm to 9pm, with a number of special quiet hour sessions to ensure the event is even more accessible to visitors with additional needs.

FINALLY we got to try the coffee that everyone has been talking about 😍

Francie’s Focaccia & Coffee is an Italian family-run café that`s in the Albert Dock and the special pistachio coffee was unreal! The world is currently pistachio-mad, and for good reason because the cream that lined the coffee was delish!

We also tried the Nutella version 👌

Plenty of choice on the authentic focaccia sandwiches and safe to say we will be back!
